Tony - Our Icon for Blind

Tony is my sweetheart of 9 years. Tony has been blind for approximately 32 years. He became blind from a degenerative disease which I will blog about later.

Blindness, while inconvenient at times, does not stop Tony from most anything. This is a man who attends football games ( UTES - of course ), plays video games with his grandchildren and Wii as often as he can, wins at Texas Hold'em, cooks a mean halibut steak, listens better than any therapist you'll ever know, watches movies, flirts (yeah I know like Grandma and Kianna- Josh), looks you right in the eye when you talk, cleans his own house (I mean really really clean), pumps gas in my car for me, gives you the LOOK if you do or say something silly, loves all animals and is the hit of the party - any party you take him to.

Tony has a special talent for putting others at ease with his blindness. Often, you don't even remember that he is blind. He gently instructs others how to guide and help him. He tells hilarious stories about situations that leaving you absolutely amazed. His sense of humor about the blindness helps others to feel more comfortable.

I've always told Tony that he is a class act for blind.
